Yes man it's a must have, and there is one strong motive that i can tell you...
If you dont like the PvE, storyline, farming, views, professions and stuff in Factions world (wich are pretty nice) you need some skills that Factions introduce in PvP and that you will find very very usefull. Plus you can craft very nice armor sets in Factions. So man if money is not a problem buy it lol, i had mine preoredered, and i'm gonna preorder Nightfall when it comes... cheers (if you are not sure u can also wait for some more oppinions) |

Yeah, it's well worth the money. It's not quite as OUTSTANDING good value for money as Prophecies, but well worth it.

chapter 1 has a much easier learning curve and is more pve oriented. Factions tosses you in the deep end and is much more pvp oriented. Nightfall is coming out soon and september 15 should have a retail prerelease package out which has a 10 hour/14 day chapter 1/Factions trial key so you could get an idea there. |

If you already have Prophecies. Even if you do NOT like the Assassin and Rit classes, bring your 4 beloved characters across to Cantha and spoil them with riches. Give them new armors, weapons, sceneries, skills, and the added material storage.
If you do not have Prophecies, get Prophecies first. |

If you like to solo PvE "like me" this is a good campaign for you. You can get all they way to the last mission solo. (Note there are two missions that you have to group up with another group of eight) But you can bring henchies for your group if you want. Then either group up for a couple minute fight or try it on your own with henchies. (Have not been able to kill Shiro with Henchies yet but I will keep trying ) The 15K Armor is quite cool as well in Factions. Good chest runs as well.

I think Factions is worth it for Fort Aspenwood and Alliance Battles alone.

I've found it worth it just for the materials storage extension

Yes, it wasn't as good as Prophecies, but it was worth it.

lol. I know you'll buy the game just to see what all the fuss is about, there's nothing wrong with having more.
